I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. (Psa. 86:12-13 God's mercy towards fallen mankind is great. It started out when man first disobeyed God in the garden of Eden as recorded in Genesis 3:1-6. Eve was deceived but Adam was not (1Tim 2:14). Willful disobedience also causes consequences with God because we know better. After that, all were born in sin. "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." (Psa. 51:5) David was the youngest of eight brothers and his father and mother had been married for many years. Therefore, it shows that he, like the rest of us, was stamped at birth SINNER because of our fallen race. Yet, children are not judged so before God before they can be accountable before him which can vary in ages, God knows. Isaiah 53:6 says, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Rom 3:23) Yet, God has provided a remedy four our fallen condition. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom. 6:23) Jesus told his followers to come unto him all who were heavy laden and he would give them rest. (Matt. 11:28-30) The constant guilt of sin and a bad conscience can be taken away by taking Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. If you don't know him, you can. Com to grips that you, like the rest of mankind, were born a sinner. Look to the Author and Finisher of our faith for salvation. Confess your sins before Him...he knows them anyway. Take Jesus as Savior, asking him into your heart. This will begin a new life that will have no end, even in death, if you continue to walk with him. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom. 10:9-10) May the Lord bless you as you walk with Him!
